Shongweni Dam and Resource Reserve
Saturday 19 October 2019 - 07:30
Shongweni Nature Reserve is a diverse and stunning natural resource, less than 30km from Durban. Working with conservationists, Runduro has opened new trails to create a 13km run with a unique timing format. This is part of plans to revive and rescue the surrounding community's precious reserve.
Runduro allows participants to race through four varied stages and rest in between at water tables or take in the scenery. The inaugural Runduro SA event will be held at Shongweni Dam, amidst the forests and wildlife in the stunning Ntshongweni Reserve, less than 30km from Durban.
The trail run will start at 7:30am and participants have plenty of time (until 1pm) to complete the stages, making it easy for participants from a wide range of abilities to take part. Food, coffee and refreshments will be available at the finish overlooking the dam. Spectators are welcome to accompany runners.
